Here’s what’s happening: Israeli soldiers in Hebron don’t like the way some Palestinian cars are parked. (They know these are Palestinian-owned because the license plates are a different color from Israeli plates. #apartheid)

What do you do when cars are parked illegally? Issue a ticket? Not in Hebron. You break windows and make dents with the butt of your M-16 rifle.

(This is a lot like the building situation in the West Bank: Israel makes it virtually impossible for Palestinians to obtain building permits, so they build anyway because the family is getting too big for the house. And they hope for the best. If they get caught, the building will be demolished.)

And is there anything illegal about the parking? Jewish Voice for Peace explains:

It’s important to note that there are virtually no ‘designated’ parking spots for Palestinians to use. They do the best they can to find areas that are relatively out of the way to park.

In the West Bank, Palestinians and Israelis use different colored license plates. Palestinian vehicles have green or white plates; Israeli vehicles have yellow plates.

Watch this example of nastiness for the sake of nastiness - by “public servants” whose salaries the US subsidizes with our $10 million A DAY in military aid.

NOTE: the organization that filmed and disseminated this clip, B’Tselem, is Jewish and Israeli, and cares deeply about justice for Palestinians. The org that provided additional info about parking, Jewish Voice for Peace, is also Jewish, and likewise works tirelessly for a just peace.

It is not mandatory for Jews to support occupation and oppression. Just sayin’.
